World renowned frame drummer Jarrod Cagwin in conversation with Irish percussionist and bodhran specialist Brian Fleming with special guest Cormac Breatnach (whistles, flute).

 

Ever wondered how the bodhran, the pulse of Irish music relates to its brother, sister and cousin frame drums around the world? Sitges is home to world-renowned frame drum expert, Jarrod Cagwin. Jarrod will guide us through some of his extensive collection of Indian, Arabic and North African frame drums and hybrid drums he designed and commissioned, including the 'creature drum.' The conversation will be illustrated by solos and duets from the two drummers. Renowned Irish whistle player, Cormac Breatnach, will guest with this dynamic duo as they take you through the worlds of drumming in this innovative festival event!
